A new dynamic model to optimize the reliability of the series-parallel systems under warm standby components

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>Redundancy allocation problem (RAP) is a common technique for increasing the reliability of systems. In this paper, new model RAP introduced that takes into account warm standby and mixed strategy, dynamics, type strategy in redundancy problems. A recursive formula first obtained function dynamic strategies leverages success mode analysis works any arbitrary failure-time distribution. Failure rates units change before after their replacement with damaged unit, and, therefore, varies time (i.e., dynamic). Although models are commonplace practice, they more challenging to assess than static models, which have been mainly considered literature. An optimization then formulated select best levels. Genetic algorithm particle swarm leveraged solve problem. Finally, efficiency presented method verified through numerical example. The experimental results verify proposed significantly improves system reliability, can be vital importance designers.</p>
